Lecturer: Mr. Tom Emelander, Weatherford Intl.
Tom Emelander is the Product Line Manager for Weatherford's Whipstock Systems and has authored multiple technical papers and industory articles. Whipstock sidetracking has evolved as a viable solution to add operational value in both new and mature wells. In this lecturer program, he presented applications and methods to increase operational efficiency in the process of drilling and completing wells along with recovering stranded production in existing fields.
SPE Japan is glad to have him as one of the distinguished lecturer this year. We appreciate his visit and talks, and look forward to seeing the Japan section members in the next distinguished lecture program.
